Well, since this the first time I've had access to a computer i get to blog. The problem is all the days have run together. So I'll just give you some of the more unfuzzy highlights.
The weather has to be the talk from record highs in Maine to record lows in New York (26 degrees) to hot, hot, hot in Pennsylvania. The wind has been really bad to almost none but almost always in our faces. The hills have been mostly, can you guess, up and down. We left one day at noon because of the rain. My bike has not been cooperating so i stopped at a bike shop and it was beyond repair. Did i mention i had to buy a new bike...Yesterday was through Amish country. Today was gorgeous with temps in the 50's to begin with and maxing out in the high 70's.
Doing approx 75 -100 miles a day but length is being dictated by hills/wind/rain.
The hotels ( I'm being generous), have been having their problems. But at least we have a bed and shower. Not a Hampton Inn in sight!!!
By our calculations, we only have two more days and should be arriving on schedule on Monday.
If I remember any more, I'll blog it next time. Until then...............
